Why should I choose The Pilates Clinic Wimbledon?
The Pilates Clinic Wimbledon has been going since 2012 in Wimbledon, and before that in Southfields since 2000. We are not new. We are experienced. We run private sessions, but we also run group reformer and mat and we have been doing that for a very long time. Our customers are sophisticated, mature, and dedicated to their health and improving the quality of their futures.
Can I join group classes if I'm pregnant?
We don't run any group classes for Pregnancy but our preggy clients come to privates or semi privates, and all our teachers are trained in teaching Pilates for Pregnancy.
Is there an age limit to attending?
As they say, 'age is just a number'! Most people start with a private session or two and then we can assess if privates are needed or if group classes will be suitable. It is about how safe we feel you will be, regardless of age. We have some clients nearing 90, taking private sessions, and some teenagers coming with their mums.
What type of Pilates do you teach and on what apparatus?
We teach intelligent movement. Our training is BASI Pilates, which is a contemporary brand that has been teaching a nuanced version of the classical work for over 40 years. We have all the BASI equipment, Reformers, Cadillacs, Wunda chairs, Barrels etc. We run private sessions using all the equipment as well as group Reformer, and soon to have group Tower and group Wunda chair.
How can I make a booking?
We use Momence booking system and you can book an 'Appointment' if you want a Private session or a Duet, and 'Classes' if you want a class. You can join as a member by going to 'memberships' then 'subscriptions' and you can pay as you go with singles or blocks found on 'memberships' then 'packages'.
How many times should I attend per week?
Like with any exercise, the more regular, the better. We think twice a week is a perfect compliment to the other activities you do in life... 3 times a week is a special body bonus!
How can I get my Physiotherapist involved in this process?
We love it when you have a physical therapist of any sort that is helping you who we can communicate with and exchange notes with. Sometimes it is a team effort and we are happy to take direction from a medical practitioner or guidance from others that are treating you.
Will Pilates help my back pain/ body pain?
There are many reasons why people experience pain in their body. Sometimes it is the direct result of an injury, which requires recovery and sometimes it is just unexplained, or due to inactivity. Whichever the reason, we teach you to try understand your body and how it moves so that together we can figure it out. We don't claim to be miracle workers, but sometimes people say we are ;-)
Memberships & Billing
Do you have any question related to our Packages or Subscription Memberships, here you can find the most frequently asked question on this topic.
In your memberships, what is the difference between a subscription and a package?
We sell our sessions either in: -packages (buying a number of sessions and using as and when within the expiry period) or -subscriptions - monthly memberships sold on an autorenewing basis.
Does my membership automatically renew?
If you buy a monthly rolling subscription, the initial minimum term is 3 months. If you want to stop after 3 months, you will need to give us notice in writing before the third month commences, as we need a minimum of 1 month notice to cancel. After the initial 3 months it will auto renew until notice is given.
What is a founder member?
A founder member is someone who signs up to a monthly subscription in the first 20 people. We will limit the number of founder members because they will get a special price that will lock in for 24 months. Once all founder members spaces have been taken, the prices will go up.
What is the benefit of a subscription over a package?
When you buy a subscription you commit to yourself to seek lasting changes in your body. We reward that effort and commitment with reduced pricing. We are also building up alliances with local businesses to offer our members discounts in a variety of local places. Any membership of 8 sessions or more per month will get free access to our on-demand library, meaning that wherever they are they have access to hours of Pilates right from your home, hotel room or the beach!
How do I cancel or pause?
Subscriptions can be paused once in a 12 month period and for a maximum of 3 consecutive weeks. After the initial 3 months after starting, a one month written notice is required to cancel.
No, we do not offer refunds.
Our package prices will go up in January each year. Subscriptions - Founder members will get a 24 month commitment to the price remaining the same. All other subscriptions will be subject to annual January increases.
