Nicole was born in Wimbledon and after graduating with a degree in Maths and Physics an interest in business led her to the accountancy profession. A disc injury as a consequence of too many years in a sedentary job resulted in her discovering pilates and becoming a teacher with BASI. Extra training: Pilates for Injuries and Pathologies Parts 1 & 2 (BASI) Nicole is a former Chartered Accountant and was a Partner in one of the UK's largest audit and accounting firms heavily focussed on the technical and regulatory side. Given the nature of the role she has spent her career continually developing herself and mentoring those around her. The one downside of such a lengthy and sedentary career has been a bad back which led Nicole to discovering Pilates and in particular the BASI approach which she found suited both her body and natural attention to detail. Her, then, Pilates Clinic instructor noted her interest and suggested that she would benefit from taking the BASI mat course. When COVID arrived and greater working flexibility, Nicole took advantage of the situation and qualified as a mat instructor in 2021. She was keen to build further on what she had learned and subsequently completed the BASI Comprehensive Global programme. Having now retired as a partner, she is keen to help others prevent or deal with the same issues she has experienced and enjoy the pleasure of movement.
